I know it's basically a joke at this point that The Mandalorian is The Cameo Show but I LOVE the cameos this season.
A good mix of recognizable actors having a few lines (like Tim Meadows last episode), people just showing up in the background (like Filoni and co just sitting in the bar, slightly out of focus), 'namedrops' (Zeb showing up but not being important), and fan-service moments like Ahmed Best. None of it felt too fan-service-y, too shoved in or like the producers just wanted their friend to star in the show for a bit.
[Spoiler (click to open)]And in this episode - Lizzo and Jack Black as married, eccentric space royalty? Honestly funny, didn't distract from the episode and both worked their characters well. Christopher Lloyd? Always a delight, loved that he was able to show a bit of his acting range and not just sit in a chair and explain things.

Season 3 has been weird so far, like a lot of set up is being done for future seasons rather than telling a reasonably self contained story, but I'm still enjoying the hell out of it.

[Spoiler (click to open)]I'd watch a whole series of Din and Bo solving cases. It was nice seeing Din flex his diplomacy skills with the Ugnaughts. Also, another week, another time Din does something completely bone-headed and pays hard for it. Do Mando helmets come with concussion prevention measures? Is there a counter at The Convert that says 'Days since Din was an idiot' that never goes above 3? Inquiring minds want to know.

The scene where they met the leaders, I was all 'Wait? Is that Lizzo? And is that Jack Black? Wait, Christopher Lloyd? Casting is working overtime, hope they get a bonus for it.

Grogu being food motivated and hanging out was cute.

I'm a little glad the Darksaber is off Din as he clearly doesn't want it, but I hope they don't play plot maguffin hot potato with it. I wouldn't be surprised if the various Mando factions clash hard soon.

Honestly, this episode was such a joy! Everyone did their absolute best and I'm going to rewatch it tomorrow.

This is why I love The Mandalorian, it's the very epitome of quality and fun.
Also, I just knew they would handle the darksaber issue this way, it was obvious.

P.S. The media outlets are the worst. There is literally just a small handful of the usual complainers and yet the morons at Screen Rant & co. lie about the world hating Mando. Pls, get a life.🙄

I've seen more complaints this season for sure but they're all very ????? for me. Like, people complain about Din giving up the Darksaber like they legit want to see him become the ruler of Mandalore or something weird like that. Dude just wants to be a dad and hang out with his cult and maybe punch a droid - let him live! lol

Most of the complaints are about cameos again (which is hilarious because how tf is great guest casting "cameos" ffs), but I'm pleasantly surprised they upgraded they arsenal with something about the actual plot, good for them😂😂
Yeah like, Din as the ruler of Mandalore would be the actual stretch from Favreau and Filoni. Let Bo have her title and us - our reason for watching the show.😂

Like, let's be for frickin' real... I just don't see Din as a long effective leader... he will grow weary of it quick. Bo at least has the ruling down pat coz of her past lineage...
