Rest In Peace queen. Always wanted to go when I was a kid.
I hope it still lives on in spirit and we get a week of big games news during the summer. I unironically love watching the showcases and associate summer with them
but yeah, i mean it costs money to set up for E3 and theyve all shifted to doing their own showcases on their own timeline so it makes sense. everyones going through some layoffs so another cost cutting measure that is reasonable
Looks like individual studios prefer doing their own thing or do nothing at all. Such a shame though I used to love all the coverage and trailers coming from it
I am not surprised, it costs money for the editors and some of them made their games reveals at that event rather than on their own time. Maybe they need to reinvent themselves a little to propose a format that would be interesting both for the game makers and the gamers so it feels like a win win again.
