Unless they completely rewrite the rumored lineup, I am failing to see how this would work. The hard part will be to give that movie its own tone because even if this is a suice squadesque movie, that comparaison is not something they should seek. I will be waiting for more info to try to get an idea of what they are going for, hopefully they can go into crazy and be careful with the jokes.

I don't know anything about the Thunderbolts but did like the fancasting/rumour of Stephen Yeun as Reed Richards - does a role in Thunderbolts mean that is unlikely to happen? Or would it be where F4 gets intro'd?
