Somewhat related but they STILL haven’t given out the figure skating team medals because the doping case is working its way through appeals.

That's wild, and unfortunate. Let's see if it takes the athletes as long to get medals as the 2000 U.S. women's gymnastics team

I bet nothing happens until the 2026 games and they just hand out medals then.

The only good thing about it is that it might help the athletes escape from Russia, should they want to.

Ok, question.

How strictly are they going to enforce the whole 'can't have supported the war' thing?

Cause I feel like a number of athletes should probably be excluded based on that.

It pretty much excludes all of the 2020 Men’s gymnastics team. Those a-holes were pretty proud about donating a drone to Russian forces.

You'll get sent to a Prison work camp if you live in Russia and openly come out against the war. It's a shit show rn.

for people who enter as individuals, do they win for the individual group or do they just literally win it for themselves?

It might have been 2020 anyways. The Russians were claiming they actually won rhythmic and that the scoring was rigged. I feel like they did their own ceremony with a gold medal.
