In terms of fiction, I read The Gunseller by Hugh Laurie years ago. It was good but not anything special. And I’m sure I’ve read several children’s picture books over the years. The only one I remember is the B.J. Novak one though.

something something, ghost writers and ghost kitchens, something something.

anyways the last celeb fiction I read was Lauren Graham’s first novel and I kind of liked it. I like her first memoir a lot. idk I do like celeb memoirs for the most part, it has to be someone I really like or someone who was involved with something I like (like I can always count on SNL alums to write about their time on the show, so I read their bios)

The last celeb memoir I read was She Memes Well by Quinta Brunson.

I’m pretty sure that the last fiction book I read by a celeb was the collection of short stories that Tom Hanks wrote. I just found out that he has a novel coming out in May.

I know I read Molly Ringwald’s novel a few years ago. I had no idea it existed until I found a copy at a bookstore’s going out of business sale so I picked it up for $2. I also read Lauren Graham’s novel. I think I found it in a little free library. I remember when I saw her name on the spine, I wondered if it was by the actress or by a writer with the same name.

I’d say 90% of books I’ve read by celebrity authors are memoirs, essays, or autobiographies masquerading as fiction (Singing Songs by Meg Tilly, Ghetto Klown by John Leguizamo).

ETA: I just remembered two other fictional books I read by celebs: Troublemaker by John Cho and Any Man by Amber Tamblyn.

I get that it's inspired by her grandmother (allegedly 🦩) but speaking as a librarian, no more WWII novels are required. Really. Source: my pet peeves
