Another huge example of Jimmy being selfish: packing up all of his wife’s stuff without asking their daughter if she wanted to keep any of it. I know he “fixed” this problem later by putting all the boxes in her room but he wouldn’t have had to correct that mistake if he had remembered that his daughter might have feelings. As Alice astutely pointed out earlier in the season, he keeps acting like he’s the only one who lost Tia but Alice lost her too.

Ha, I forgot to mention how much I laughed when Derek casually mentioned to Liz that Jimmy and Gaby had been hooking up and that he’d known about it for a month.

But I also liked that once Liz told Gaby she knew, she let it go instead of turning it into a fight about “how could you keep this a secret from me?” or invoking the ghost of Tia.

I’m three eps behind but I’m really enjoying this show. I know that the creator also made Scrubs and you can certainly tell. It gives off similar vibes.

Liz is my fave character though I like everyone else too-I personally think Jimmy/Jason Segel is the weakest part of the series.

I find myself disliking Jimmy as a father/with Alice and enjoying his interactions with the other cast. I think that’s the issue.

Liz, Gaby and Paul are the stand outs and I love any interactions they have with each other…but also just in general. Derek is also great but he can stay in his limited scenes because they’re memorable and perfect as is. Sean and Liz/Gaby is also a great combination and they should explore that further. Brian has also grown on me and I think the entire chemistry of the cast has really hit its stride on the back half of the season.

I did not expect the ending and I’m interested to see where they take next season.
