My best friend’s partner is Brazilian and they’re going to visit his family really soon! My best friend is so nervous about the language and has been trying to learn it for a few years but he’s a perfectionist lol. I wonder how many of these he knows 🤣 his partner probably taught him tons already.

I remember when I was forced to move to the south when I was a kid (not the same state as hers) and first exam day at school the teacher was like 'pià coloquem o penal debaixo da cadeira", and I thought I was in foreign land. A lot of the slangs from the video are exclusively from the south, you will not hear anywhere else in Brazil.

I'd say that 90% of Brazilian southerners I've met abroad are minions, so whenever someone starts speaking and I hear that southern accent, you may find it horrible I say this, but I think the worse until proven otherwise 🤷‍♀️ but that's also the case for any white man from anywhere, so

As someone from another state in the south of Brazil we don’t use some of those, it’s more like Rio Grande do Sul slang.

Also this video is missing my beloved “porra” and “caralho”. They’re too versatile to explain lmao.

I have a lot of people at the office from Portugal and Brazil, I love to hear them talk. It sounds so smooth to my ears, even if they are arguing. I love how round everything sounds <3
