Over the last six years, SZA has become a dominant figure in American pop. Her second album, “SOS,” has been atop the Billboard 200 for seven consecutive weeks. But she resists some of the terms and conditions of being a superstar.

I didn't realize CTRL was still on the Billboard 200, that is wild!
When she was creating “Ctrl,” she told me, a big part of her motivation was proving she could do it. “But now it’s like, I did everything I wanted to do.”
This clearly happens to a lot of artists, hence the sophomore slump, but SOS is fucking great.
This post reminded me to once again check the ticket prices for her LA shows this week, and once again the lowest priced ticket is $495. At first I thought it was just scalpers, but I really wish that she'd added another show in LA, it's clear the actual demand was insane.

i forgot what SZA's real name was - Solána Imani Rowe. her mama's name being Audrey Rowe. i was initially kinda confused in the writeup quotes here lol
i like Ctrl better than SOS, but SOS is still quite good. its just wild how much shes blown up in the past couple years! saw her like 5-6yrs ago at a smaller venue, but now shes selling out stadium arenas where i had no chance scoring nosebleeds for my friend. i was at bestbuy and employees were talking about getting resale tickets. their manager was like, oh we getting 200 section tix but dont worry, if you going with me ill get us to the 100 section lmao

Love her music but it's crazy how different she looks from 2017/18 when she first started picking up steam
