It's the sequel to my post about WOC Best Actress winners/nominees! This time, we're looking at Best Supporting Actress nominees for the Academy Awards. It is marginally less bleak toward the end, but is still real rough.

I wish Viola had gone lead for Fences, she might have beaten Emma Stone in La La Land. But I understand why she wanted to play it safe.

Marianne Jean-Baptiste was also co-lead in Secrets & Lies alongside Brenda Blethyn, but she was campaigned in supporting. This does happen a lot with white actors too but it's still annoying to see.
