I looked it up to see if this was a true story, and I came up empty. I thought it wasn't real? So, Lydia Tar is a real person? Is the story true?

lol this is fantastic.

i know a lot of you hate this film - and a lot of it is bc you hate cate and can't separate reality from fiction - but Tár is a fucking masterpiece. Her performance is acting @ its finest and that's a fact, anyone who thinks otherwise is deluding themselves. I'm not upset the movie was left empty handed but I'm glad it got its rightful nominations.
