Thousands of people prove a report wrong that says the COVID Mental Health crisis wasn't bad

3 years ago today, the world pretty much stopped because of COVID-19. Several movies, such as Onward and Bloodshot, released in theaters played for less than a week before theaters shut down. and for 2 whole weeks, people were unified in protecting those who needed protection ( Read more... )

once i realized about late march 2020 that we were all stuck at home i had to give myself something to do and watched all the oscars best pictures (at the time) in about... two months? i admit some were a true challenge to find online but i persevered because well, i had nothing fucking else to do when i wasn't working like a dog (also at home)

“The review did not look at lower-income countries, or specifically focus on children, young people and those with existing problems, the groups most likely affected, experts say, and risks hiding important effects among disadvantaged groups.”

Well sure, I mean who gives a fuck about those people and their mental health. As long as the middle aged and older middle class Westerners were okay.

i like that celebs reacted to this too -

I watched all of Sex and the City and then wrote a spec script where Samantha was sleeping with Mayor McCheese and got red paint thrown on her for wearing a Grimace fur coat https://t.co/5c9uwE9FW0

my best friend hosted a black eyed peas listening party on zoom but wore headphones so we all sat in silence listening to her reactions to black eyed peas songs https://t.co/7dxocjG2s6

i can't believe it's been 3 years. ngl there was something kinda nice about that part where everything shut down. the air was so clean and i didn't feel guilty doing nothing lol. i remember waking up in the middle of the night to try to buy hand sanitzer online. the stores were so eerie when they were limiting the number of people in and there were arrows and plexiglass everywhere. it was so scary too because we knew nothing about the virus at that point. and when i'd go for walks, literally every time i passed people and they were talking, it was about covid. such a strange time to live through.

we need to bring back one-way aisles at the supermarket

Most people respected those, but like 10% didn't. And it was so annoying to go around trough another isle if you wanted to go back & look for something you missed in the first one.
