S2 premieres on April 5 and will cover musicals from the 60s and 70s. Cecily Strong and Keegan-Michael Key are returning as Melissa and Josh. Other returning cast members for S2 include:

I was cautiously optimistic about S1 and ended up loving it, so now I'm really excited about S2 (which is tempered by the fact that the musicals of the 60s and 70s are not my favorite, to put it nicely).

I am STUNNED this got a renewal - how can something so niche still be on the air?! Not complaining, I a thrilled!!!

I was shocked that S1 made it past the "let's just throw out some ideas for new shows" phase and actually got made so I'm super happy that we're getting a second season! I really hope it gets a third season because there are so musicals just waiting to be parodied (Phantom, Les Mis, Cats, Miss Saigon, and oh lord please grant us at least one hilarious number mocking Starlight Express!).
