• The rumors were true, Barry is ending after four seasons. Series creator, star and director Bill Hader spoke to Variety about the ending. Variety also posted the season 4 teaser trailer

I love this show so much. I need to do a rewatch at least of last season. Also I know people are upset it's ending but didn't they say they always wanted it to be no more than five seasons max? I think four is reasonable. I know it sucks on one hand but I will always prefer shows ending a little bit earlier while in their prime than to watch the quality go down and have the show drag out forever.

I think his war experiences definitely affected him, but it was his personal experiences there (his friend being shot in the face, resulting in what he did that ended up getting him discharged from service), and then how Fuches manipulated him after that really did it. When he was mentally breaking down and he had that vision of being discharged, and then suddenly Fuches is standing there all menacingly and "I have a job for you," it's pretty clear that was his turning point. I think this was also displayed pretty well when he was talking about his "first kill" and his acting class friends were acting it out as he talked about it, and they were being super dramatic and sad, but then the flashbacks revealed that he and his marine friends were jumping around and celebrating. He was obviously bothered by that juxtaposition, but I think maybe it bothered him more that he wasn't as upset about it as "normal" people apparently think he should have been. Maybe he is in denial about how much that messed him up, or maybe he just doesn't see

Hate to see it end but I’m glad that it’s not going on too many seasons where it becomes tedious to watch

i don't have high hopes for the final season anymore. it'd be interesting if the last season is literally just him in coping in prison and on trial for his crimes

All I hope is that Barry doesn't get redeemed and just dies.
