This is a shitty and misogynistic ploy whenever used, but to try it in a sentencing hearing blows my mind. At that point as far as the criminal law is concerned it's now established fact that your client is guilty. Your only shot now is mitigation, and loudly trying to discredit the complainant like it's not already game over is the absolute opposite of the vibe you should be trying to put across. Any civil litigation is totally outside the judge's concern and won't impact sentencing. It really is just a petty, playground attempt to get a last lick in.
