Penn Badgley revealed that he was close to landing the role of Jesse Pinkman on #BreakingBad: “ It was between me and Aaron Paul. We tested. And actually that was the best television script I’d read, at that point. That was the one that got away.” https://t.co/RdkiUgOoEd pic.twitter.com/2W8C8HXa6A

Penn could not have done justice to Jesse's goofiness. I can't imagine him pulling off the "Yeah Mr. White! Yeah science!" line

Aaron was perfect for the role and him and Cranston had great chemistry. I now can’t imagine anyone different.

Breaking Bad was ‘08? I don’t know why it feels like a 2016 show to me. It doesn’t feel like it should be in the same timeline conversation as Gossip Girl.

I think because Breaking Bad reached its peak success and popularity during its last season in 2013 and Gossip Girl peaked in relevance during its first season in 2007, so the two shows feel like they’re from different eras

I was thinking the same thing. But I feel like BB didn’t really get as popular until the later seasons. I don’t think a lot of fans started at the very beginning of the show.

It feels very 2012/2013 to me lol
