chloe bailey has announced she's collabing with chr*s br*wn for some reason days after her sister halle trended for defending her bf who allegedly abused his ex rubi rose and keeps trying to hit her up even now that he's with halle.

Yup. That’s the thing that keeps me up at night. Especially bc we know this behavior is not reciprocated.

These are the same male artists who either looked the other way or actively supported T*ry L*nez and went out of their way to believe Meg was lying about being shot by him. Same ones who STILL cape for Michael Jackson after all these years, still collab with abusers like Rick Ross. When will we wise up?? I get it but at the same time I really, really don’t.

it shouldn't be puzzling. r&b is a Black music genre, naturally the fanbase is going to reflect that. white audiences are not going to be as invested in those artists to begin with.

I wish when people who have talent do shitty things, they would lose their talent and/or just never have talent in the first place. He has a hold on people because they choose to not look at the POS he is and "it's just about the music!!"

I was just about to post this tweet. This is an issue that has been ongoing with Chloe as soon as she went solo with her excessive posturing.

And the thing is (this isn't meant as disrespect to my brothers and sisters btw) it's true...the Black people that loved Chloe and Halle for Ungodly Hour are NOT the Black people that still fw Chris Brown. That venn diagram does not overlap...those circles don't even touch.

I was also relieved to see young Black women who weren't being hypersexualized out the gate (not that it's our choice either way), b/c it was easier for me to see myself in them as someone who is simply not sexy at all. This switch up is madness and I wish them the best but they lost me fr.
