and I think it’s better suited episodically

More people should acknowledge this when it comes to adapting certain things. It's okay to take time to tell the story right and let it breathe

Some series are better off as TV than movies. A few movies I remember thinking "this should've been a tv or miniseries". I remember thinking that for The Many Saints of Newark cause they tried to fit in as much as they could....but so much was left desired.

I know a movie directors look down on TV cause art~ is only truly displayed on a big screen.

i'm kind of relieved this wasn't made into some weird blockbuster. i feel like they would have made it too polished and hollywood. hbo has done it so much justice.

If they had made it a movie it likely would have been a shot for shot adaptation and that would have been boring. Glad it turned into a tv series.
