okay i was fairly obsessed with the movie when it came out to an unnerving degree so obviously i was over the moon about a musical adaptation but WOW what a stinker it is. absolute dogshit.

I think situations like these are actually what reaffirm their stubborn, out-of-touch worldviews. They see other people getting “advantages” like this (although Nicole Kidman should’ve been cast regardless because of her talent) and think that’s why nepotism isn’t the be-all, end-all when it comes to casting.
