I was obsessed with her boots from the anime and was so happy when I found a similar pair when I was in high school even though they were black. I wore those shoes till they fell apart.
I think this is one of the few SM collabs that make sense. The shoes correlate to each Senshi in a modern sense. That said, because it is Jimmy Choo, there's no way most fans are gonna be able to afford any of these.
I really wish there were more official SM merch / collabs for international fans that aren't limited edition. Instead of graphic tees like at Target, more stuff like this that embody the series without it being obvious y'know?
i got a luna purse from em that that isnt exactly original idea but i thought it looked sleeker than most out there. plus it has the moon stick charm which was a nice touch.

Actually, they remind me so much of fan-made merch, where it's recognizable to those who know the series. I would love a couple pair of those sneakers, bag, and choker.
I think it speaks to a larger problem of animation not taken seriously as a medium as to why anime merch seems so juvenile. Sailor Moon has been around since the 90s and had a generation grow up with the series well into adulthood. I'd just wish American retailers would see the potential in that. I think that's why fan merch is significantly better because it's made with love by the fans.
I just wish we had the same access Japanese fans have to official Sailor Moon merch that wasn't designer.
and the thing is the demand is there. anime merch is truly exploding cuz anime has become more mainstream. its just we are getting oversaturated with very needless anime merch lol. like no, put away the random ass naruto cookie jar set.
Toei/Naoko are missing out on so much $$$ by not treating Sailor Moon properly and just telling the same 5 season of stories over and over and over again.

not everything as subtle as jimmy choo but arent as obvious as target/hot topic merch, but taiwanese retailer grace gift did SM collab. https://www.sailormooncollectibles.com/2018/04/13/sailor-moon-crystal-x-grace-gift-fashion-collaboration/
