Celebrities including F1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton, EGOT winner Viola Davis and many more reacted to devastating earthquake that happened in Southeast Turkey on Feb 6, 2023.

(edit: William & Kate of the British Royal Family also supported a campaign in the UK that aims to provide relief to the region. More celebs added.)

Thank you! Syria needs so much help. At least, we can get help. Even though I just learned that somewhere in Canada disaster relief donations are gathered and they're desperately trying to find a way to send those to us.

I'm truly worried about the Syrian people though. They are not getting coverage, no one knows the full extent of the disaster in Syria.

Yeah it’s tough because with the whole corruption reputation at the govt level, i get people’s bias for the Oxfams (ugh) and the UNICEFs. (I will say though if you are going to pick a UN agency to support for this, UNRWA is a better bet - they do a lot more on the ground there and in surrounding areas and basically offer services and schools in much of the refugee camps in the Levant. )
