omg i was just wondering about this adaptation bc the book happens to be in a very visible spot in my collection. how exciting! i was thinking it had been so long since the announcement that maybe it had been scrapped or stuck in development. i cannot believe they snagged queen toni for this. and john leguizamo! i will def be re-reading before it airs :D

I previewed a couple of episodes, and remember Halle & Toheeb being really good in this.

I hated this book, but I think it's possible it'd be a better movie/TV show.
