The pepinos have often guessed that she read them because they'll mention a behaviour and she reacts to it immediately.

I can totally picture them debating on how much attention this caption would get them.

it's so weird how so many ppl do this. like ~jokey~ baby onesies with suggestive comments? even ones for boys saying shit like "ladies man" or ppl who have kids close in age to their friends and are like, "our kids are gonna get married!" etc. i get it's joking, but why are you so invested in your child's future romantic relationships when the kid is not even born/an infant???

I once saw a baby onesie that said “my mommy can kick your mommy’s ass” with a cartoon of two women fighting and I was just like.. who would buy that??? why???

Probably the “just a mom trying not to raise liberal kids” types.

I saw someone with a bumper sticker that said my dog is Republican, so honestly people are unhinged

If they weren't the Baldwins, is it weird for a kid to give their mom a back rub to try to get out of chores or something? I guess the reddit part is the key here and I don't know what that means.

The act itself isn't weird at all. It's totally normal. The photo is normal as well. It's literally just his caption that gives it a gross sexual double meaning ( ... )

I'm not excusing anyone other than the kid in this situation, team no-one other than the innocent kid, who might have just felt like they were being nice to their mom. I don't think it's ok to impose the faults of the adults here to sexualize the action of a kid who is probably just being nice to his mom and maybe didn't want to do the dishes or something silly like that.

Oh absolutely, the kid isn't at fault and his actions are totally innocent. That was never even a question, I hope it didn't come accross that way. He doesn't even need a reason to give his mum a massage!

There's nothing sexual about kids giving their parent a massage. It's sweet (and sometimes funny) as hell.
I don't think anyone was sexualising the actions of the kid at all - except his dad. Hence the backlash.

The fault is with his dad who took a cute moment between mother and son to make a gross suggestive and sexist joke to the world.
So the criticism from what I can tell is purely for the caption, nothing else like the massage itself. That's why the photo is still up but the caption got changed.
