i saw Missing months ago- i couldn't stop being annoyed with how it was shot, looking at screens and those gd notification dings

the story was good though. if you saw Searching and didn't mind it, i think you'd like this one

i saw women talking the other day, beautifully acted, definitely deserved the sag ensemble nom. i'm surprised ben whishaw - like the only man in the cast - may get individual recognition? that's crazy when there are so many strong performances

saw a man called otto before the long weekend and i am truly at the wtf stage now that variety put tom hanks in the fifth best actor spot. get the fuck outta here. i mean it was FINE but come the fuck on. he deserves nothing this year for his awful elvis performance, him getting nothing for otto should be his penance

variety needs to toss clayton davis after this season is over. dude is a dumb-dumb who has legit zero clue what hes talking about.

having him and scott feinberg lead the awards beat for the two biggest hollywood papers is so embarrassing.

I recently watched The Menu and overall I thought it was just fine, entertaining enough but it lack bite. Outside of a couple of performances, Ralph Fiennes and Hong Chau in particular, I don’t think it will be that memorable.

Not a movie but I’ve just started the series Makanai: Cooking for the Maiko House on Netflix and I’m really enjoying it. Hirokazu Kore-eda is an expert at doing slice-of-life and the show is really selling me on the cozy vibes and food porn.

I really liked Searching, so i want to see Missing. I hope it does well but i really havent seen any promo for it

i was wondering how wide women talking was going and not a single theater other than the art-house is playing it so i imagine its not going wide at all

looking at it now, it was probably a mistake to release it this late. should have come out in early october to capitalize on tar-mania. itd be on vod/blu-ray by now and more people would have seen it/been in the awards conversation more/etc.
