Lots of directors make commercials. One that is likely to be getting an Oscar nom this year made a good living off directing commercials. Don't diss commercials - the good ones are as memorable as movies!

I mean, look at this masterpiece of a commercial, I bet you remember its plot more than the first Avatar movie.

(IDK who directed these ads, though, but I doubt they have an Oscar.)

hdu. this brings back nightmares of commercials of daytime tv as a child watching PAX for Touched by an Angel, Dr. Quinn, Xena, and Hercules.

Yeah I was shocked about that!! LOL did film twitter forget that Scorsese, Inarittu, and a few other directors have done commercials lol!

These got played during the Oscars for 2-4 years straight!

I liked Edgar's commercial but I feel like "Oh Yeah" is doing A LOT of the work here. Iconic song though.

There’s so up in the butt about “ART!!” and “money is evil, box office numbers are destroyers of art” that they forget that uh IG your movies are making money at said box office…you better find somewhere else cause your fave director won’t be able to make other movies.
