I always hated Hall & Oates growing up, and my mom loved them. I have recently turned into her(as you do eventually lol) and I cant stop listening to them. No idea why but I've been playing their entire discography for like 2 weeks almost nonstop lol. Them and Tears for Fears. They need to get popular again.

I am gonna throw out this one hit wonder from 1979 because this song is always applicable. Also it has helped me immensely with my disco-era espionage novel set in 1979 lmao. Resurgence as in it came out way before I was born and has never been a hit since 1979 and it's time for another go around.

I will admit, the first time I heard it was in Vegas Vacation, but it's such an underrated, kinda forgotten bop.

Plus, Vegas Vacation came out closer to the time that Born to Be Alive came out than it is relative to now (it turns 26 this year lmao). Also not the best Vacation movie obviously, but I saw it too many times as a kid.
