I used to LOVE Judy Bloom. I don’t recall much about her books now but I checked out every book of hers my library had.

even Wifey and Forever? my library wouldn't carry those two. I had to borrow Forever from a friend, and still haven't read Wifey.

I don’t think I ever read Wifey, but I kinda remember reading Forever.
My library wasn’t that censored but my town was probably too lazy to organize any type of protests.

I bought Forever and now I'm wondering if my library even carried it or not (every other book of hers I read I got from the library).

We must, we must, we must improve our bust!

(It’s this book that iconic moment happens, right?)

Remember whjen her bitchy friend LIED about getting her period for clout, only to actually get it at the bat mitzvah? Her "Oh no....get my mother quick" was hysterical, as well as her mom letting the cat out of the bag once in the bathroom.

I was a huge fan of Judy Blume. I hope this is faithful (no pun intended) to the spirit (no pun intended) of the book.

my male 4th grade teacher who later became a hs principal and had an affair with another teacher gifted me this book at the end of the year and told me to "pay special attn" which in retrospect feels weird?
