I must be missing something here because in the US (and plenty of other countries) you take math courses through senior year (so, you’re 17/18 yo). Is there more to this?

We finish high school at 16. After that, we choose what subjects we want to study.

Ah, I see. Idk if it requires this sort of response and it’s pretty lame of him to refer to math lovers as data entering robots, but I understand not wanting to be forced to take something you don’t have to (or didn’t have to).

It’s kinda like here where you’re forced to take basic courses in university the first year or so, when you could be taking courses that apply to your major. Waste of money and time, tbh.

This is not necessarily true. In New York State you can stop taking math and science after 11th grade and still get a regents diploma. Only need 6 credits of each.

I hated math and wish I didn't have to take it in high school so I get it. If I didn't have to take it and now do, I would be pissed.

Wait, until when you guys learn math?
Is mandatory here until the last year of high school, and pretty much all subjects are. The last 2 years we have to choose between humanities and science for more advances classes but we still have all the same obligatory subjects. We can't get rid of any of them.

As someone with dyscalculia I was really glad to drop maths at 16 and I did very well in school and at university.

But I’d like to know if he had this same energy for the policies of Boris, the lettuce and all the rest, like sending refugees to Rwanda.
