Wow this really kept me up last night and I'm not sure why. Praying for Damar and his family.

Wishing him a speedy & healthy recovery.
I heard on the radio this morning that his parents were at the game even though it was an away game. I cannot decide if it’s better to be there so you can be with him the entire time or not being there but also not having to witness it.
They had to be appreciative to both coaches though for prioritizing his injury over the game.

being there to comfort your child is probably the most important, as horrible as it may be for any parent to experience something like that

I just kept thinking of his mom the entire time (nothing against his or any father, I think it's just because of how close I am to my mother), and what she must have been going through.

I'm sure it would definitely be brutal either way, but I think it's good that they were there, because I imagine you'd feel even more helpless watching it on TV and desperately wanting to be there with him.

I’d rather be there than watching it unfold on television and having to hop on a plane

An NFL player needing a gofundme for medical expenses is genuinely really depressing.

It's not for his care, it's for a toy drove that he supports!

I think it might be both? I read the updated message on the GoFundMe and it mentions that if people “would like to show support and contribute to Damar’s community initiatives and his current fight” that they should use the GoFundMe.

I know the NFL doesn’t care about player wellbeing but it would be really upsetting if he had to draw from this money to pay for his medical care instead of the Bills owner or the NFL stepping up to do it.

Hopefully he makes it. Can we as a country move on from football, it causes so many brain diseases. People really shouldn't be putting their kids in these types of sports.
