These books were so formative to me so I am happy I finally got to see a good adaptation of them. I cried so much watching it. the changes made sense to me but I wouldve loved more time in the Mulefa world.
Mr Pullman needs to get it on and release the 3rd Book of Dust tho!

It steadily gets better, imo. I also didn't buy James as Asriel in season one, but he's barely in season 2, and by season 3, I felt he captured the role better. Still not ideal. He looks too sweet to me lol.

I thought it was a strong finale, and very loyal to the books. The visuals and cinematography were just incredible from start to finish. Some of the casting was weird. Dafne was not the best choice for Lyra IMO, but I felt she grew into the role as the series progressed. When she had to leave Pan behind, and when her mother's monkey dissolved, and then when she had to leave Will...ugh! She does the big emotions very well. Her mumbling line delivery did bug me until the very end, though. Enunciate, girl!
The dude who played Father Gomez was super hot, like WTF?!
Mary was PERFECT. The scene where she described her life changing moment was exactly what it needed to be. Though I'm still unclear on why Lyra and Will falling in love created so much dust. Don't teenagers fall in love all of the damn time? Was it because they were in that specific world, where no other humans existed?
Ruth Wilson, Amir Wilson, and Simone Kirby were perfection. The best casting for me. And the opening credits are among the best of all time. I never, ever ( ... )

I think it was a mix of their importance (him being the knife bearer and her "being" Eve) and this being their first time in their life falling in love. And well as it was said, it was a nice boost for the moment but would not have been enough to heal the worlds etc.

I am usually not into that particular length of hair on guys but he was way hotter to me this season and I'm pretty sure it was the hair.
