I think she's a nepo baby who earned her spot eventually, even if I find her success very puzzling. She's incredibly annoying, a mediocre actor but for some reason audiences seem to like her so great job on working hard, Kate! Not for me, but people have liked worse folks, I guess.

Lighthearted content needs proper acting too! but I know romcoms aren't really known for their demanding scripts so I take what I can get and with Kate is always the absolute least lol

Before this reply to the article I would've said that she's aware enough to recognize her limited acting skillset and wisely has built a career off of choosing roles that suit it - she's not Natalie Portman, she's Meg Ryan understudy - but clearly she's not as composed or aware as she wants everyone to believe LOL

Kurt Russell isn’t Kate’s biological father but her bio dad is also an actor.

Kurt was her dad in every way that mattered. I still remember when her bio dad did an interview with some tabloid about how his kids don't acknowledge him and how it's all Goldie's fault. Kate and her brother made a point of saying "Who is you? You would set times to see us and then never bother to show up" and people got mad at her because she was "airing family laundry." WTF, he attacked her in print first!

Sorry for releasing like this but I get mad on her behalf every time I remember that shit.

I can’t stand boomers and their mentality of keeping it in the family.

Especially since he himself didn't do that. Like no one would know what a negligent parent you were if you hadn't tried to paint your own kids as the bad guy over it.

omfgggggg they just won't stop. And of course nepotism exists in every industry. The issue is the nepo babies in Hollywood refuse to do the bare minimum and admit they had a leg up and a much easier time getting their foot in the door because of their parents' connections.

multiple celebs have said that in their response to the article and they get attacked anyway lol. people will always nitpick their statements to death because at the end of the day they just wanna yell at someone online

Yeah, Ice Cube's son comes to mind. He said his dad opened the door for him and created the opportunities and he was grateful, but people didn't bother reading that part.

People didn’t ignore it. He ignored it himself by claiming that he earned the job playing his dad through hard work and not nepotism

Everytime I see this guy, I will never forget that colossus said he has a face like sad diarrhea and somehow this guy came across it and talked about it in an interview.
