I met a grocery cashier who is in her 70s who told me she had never vacationed until she was 35, so I felt a lot better. I live in Alberta and something about the culture here is snobby about money and travel in general.
Like I mentioned in another comment in this post, I have a white coworker who basically lived in Vietnam and can’t tell me any customs he learned. He just talks about how they’re wow so different there and how shady it can be etc. not very cultured to me!
