Yeah, that seems like a genuine concern to have. The type of concern one would discuss before having a bunch of children with different women.

And I'm willing to bet that he's going to keep adding kids to his roster, despite what he's saying here.

Especially when you're a public figure who is busy with their career and would likely be stretched too thin to parent more than even a few children let alone a fleet of them.

I always think about this when I see families with 10+ kids. Like it's basically impossible to spend quality 1 on 1 time with each of your children and at a certain point you also have kids taking care of kids. Now I understand that this can also happen for smaller families if people are a bit busy sometimes but it shouldn't be an obligation due to a literal inability for 1 woman (I think in most cases we can forget the man doing anything lbr) to get all kids to do something.

And aside from that I always get freaked out by people who are basically creating a little army for whatever reason, be it religious or something else.

I hate every single ~content creator I see on any platform who continues to have kids. I have friends who struggle to divide attention between their two or three kids, so I know damn well these women aren’t giving quality time to all of their children. But, anything for the ‘gram/TikTok! 🤢

I think that’s something that really doesn’t get spoken enough about with these huge families - inevitably it means parentification of the older kids

Yep. That was really common for us who were kids/young teens in the 80s. I also noticed that almost everyone I know who was made responsible for younger siblings are child-free now, probably because they felt like they raised their siblings and didn't want any more responsibility.

No word on how this could have been prevented

Hearing this in Kent Brockman’s voice.
