looking at that reddit thread apparently tony and ziva hold the record for longest will they/won't they build up before they first kissed. i used to ship them so much back in the day, they were the only good thing about that shitty show, but they dragged it out for too long.

I think NCIS is the ultimate lesson of playing with fire with will they/won't they relationships. You can have fun dragging it out, but when you do it for literal years and an actor finally leaves, you do it no justice shoving everything into the final episodes of their arc.
