Regardless of what I think about them as individuals, I hope that they both stay sober and are healthy and happy. I’m glad they’re talking about this; I don’t think it gets discussed enough outside of sensationalism.

As someone who will hit one year sober from alcohol in mid-January, I always appreciate hearing about sober celebrities! While I never watched Sex and The City, it meant a lot to me as a sober person in my early 20’s to learn that Kristin Davis also got sober in her early 20’s. While I’m proud of my sobriety no matter what, it’s always affirming to learn about people who also got sober in their 20’s

Getting yourself together and figuring out how to be healthy is an amazing thing to do in your early 20s!! I'm always impressed by the younger people (your age) that I've met through recovery for having the clarity of mind to take these steps, when it's definitely not the cool thing that everyone around is doing. One year is a huge milestone, so keep it going!!

oh my gosh!!! so so so monumental and amazing. congratulations!!!! ♥️♥️ my sober anniversary is also mid-january! it will be 3 years for me, but i remember approaching my one year being like “this is so mother fucking wild lmao.” i am 30 now and so thankful i quit in my 20’s. we fricken did it!!! 💘

Good for both of them.

I have uncles on both sides of the family who are functional alcoholics. One is in recovery only because his addiction caused severe health issues and he was forced to stop as he deals with them. I know that not everyone sees recovery as brave, but I really admire him for fighting his battles daily. Whoever is starting out or has been sober for ages, you’ve got this!!
