They’re both so insufferable and annoying in this interview.

De Armas: It’s just not fair to only be that one thing - she needed more dimension to who she was, even though it’s the difficult part or the dark side. So it’s important in the movie to show that. Because even though it’s a fictional book and movie, it was true, what happened.

And the fact that she continues to double down or damage control is so bloody embarrassing.

Maybe it's cause I'm not an ~artiste but actors are so fucking extra when talking about their and their peers performances. I have such a love/hate relationship with actors, some are refreshing to watch, some need to be hit on the head with a trash bag the size of their ego. You're not curing cancer, motherfucker.

Yeah I think they’re especially prone to this kind of circle jerk when they’re interviewing each other. It’s the kind of thing that’s an interesting premise in theory but it’s almost never actually insightful!

I agree to a point, but I think it also happens to many professions. When you're passionate about what you do, even though it's not earth-shattering or essential, and you're talking about it with a colleague who's equally interested as you are... Most times it'll sound self-important. It's just that, in this case, they're also publicly campaigning for awards, lol.
