this is a bad thing right? we all agree that this is not some "persevering through hardship" moment, its a why the fuck didn't she get sent home, she could get horrendously sick or infect others kinda moment

Which is another reason it’s so important to quarantine when you’re sick, regardless of test results!

This is just reckless behavior for everyone who contributed to this decision

Being a production with SAG actors, they have to have a Covid compliance officer. But as time has gone on, productions have really loosened the requirements as to what they want as a CCO. Many times it’s just a glorified PA. There have been some productions as an RN I’ve had major pull in a production but earlier this year our role got cut completely in what we can control and even order in terms of the types of tests they can use. I would have everyone PCR but production was concerned about the budget so I had to go with the “cheapest” which meant going with the antigen tests. Then I was forced to cut the nursing staff and we shifted to self testing and got so many groans from crew. What do you expect when you have them catered to for the past two years then they have to now do it themselves? Most of the time the health and safety team aka PAs ended up running their tests. Pure chaos.
Protocols were out the window by spring 2022. It’s all about the money not safety.
