this is a bad thing right? we all agree that this is not some "persevering through hardship" moment, its a why the fuck didn't she get sent home, she could get horrendously sick or infect others kinda moment pic.twitter.com/dBlwOf2ulr

Regardless of protocols that either made sense or didn't and that she either broke or didn't -- did they not have rapid tests on set? Those take 10 minutes; how are they waiting so long that they're giving her meds "between takes"?

Not defending her but rapids are really not great. I know multiple people who had clear Covid symptoms and tested negative with a rapid before and after a positive PCR.

Which is another reason it’s so important to quarantine when you’re sick, regardless of test results!

yeah, my partner and i so obviously had it and we never tested positive until the very tail end of it once we were feeling better

Weird, they worked on everyone I know that had Covid. In fact you need to have a positive rapid test here before they even perform a PCR test unless you pay out of your pocket for it

This ain't cute or the positive hardworker working through adversities they may be trying to spin like. This is the opposite of it.

In fact this makes me extremely pissed.

So do they not have COVID compliance officers on set now? Have they just given up because they think the pandemic is over? What are the SAG-AFRA guidelines? IATSE? I definitely noticed COVID compliance officers listings in the credits because I am a nerd who has always wanted to watch the credits until the end

This is just reckless behavior for everyone who contributed to this decision

Being a production with SAG actors, they have to have a Covid compliance officer. But as time has gone on, productions have really loosened the requirements as to what they want as a CCO. Many times it’s just a glorified PA. There have been some productions as an RN I’ve had major pull in a production but earlier this year our role got cut completely in what we can control and even order in terms of the types of tests they can use. I would have everyone PCR but production was concerned about the budget so I had to go with the “cheapest” which meant going with the antigen tests. Then I was forced to cut the nursing staff and we shifted to self testing and got so many groans from crew. What do you expect when you have them catered to for the past two years then they have to now do it themselves? Most of the time the health and safety team aka PAs ended up running their tests. Pure chaos.

Protocols were out the window by spring 2022. It’s all about the money not safety.

Thanks for this insight. Ugh. As Sarah Marshall would say, it was capitalism all along

Why would you admit this?

Y'all spreading your germs everywhere.
