November 26, 2022 Entire thing is a myth, there is one unreleased song i worked on and it isn’t good
- Calvin Harris (@CalvinHarris)
November 27, 2022 It was long rumored that Rita Ora's original second studio album while signed with Jay Z's Roc Nation was entirely produced by Calvin Harris. But after Harris broke up with Ora over alleged cheating rumors, he blocked her from releasing that album. Calvin took to Twitter to clarify that he did not produce an entire album, but just one other unreleased song that "isn't good." While Harris may not have stopped Ora from releasing an album produced by him,
he did prevent her from performing "I Will Never Let You Down" at the Teen Choice Awards back in 2014.
"I could have been told a few weeks earlier, that would have been nice," Ora said back then. "It was a last minute change but it happens and we move forward, we move on. I feel like if you speak to Calvin, you should ask him. I can't speak for him but I'm not like that."
"It is what it is. You write a song with somebody and I guess there's some stuff that comes with it," she added.
Calvin
responded back then by tweeting, "You'll only know 1 side of the story RE Teen choice awards because I choose not to talk to the papers about every aspect of my personal life."
"But just know I had a damn good reason," he added.
