i'm seeing glass onion on friday and i am sooo excited. i'm also planning to finally watch the woman king later tonight.

this past week i watched christmas with you, the freddie prinze jr/aimee garcia netflix christmas movie (which was cute but i felt like it really rushed the relationship even more than most of these christmas romcoms do), and disenchanted (i thought it was sweet and am a sucker for mother/daughter relationships taking centre stage, but everyone was right that it was totally too long and the extra stakes raising of [Spoiler (click to open)]"andalasia is going to die and so is giselle!" was unnecessary).

Yeah, the script was really lacking, and it felt ridiculous that a celebrity would just go to some child's school and then immediately end up at their house. lol

I'm seeing Glass Onion tomorrow. I hope it's as good as the first.

Saw Black Panther: Wakanda Forever on Monday and did not like it. I understand they were dealt a shitty hand, but even taking that into consideration, I still thought the plot was not well executed and the character development was rushed. I also really felt the length. I teared up a couple of times at the T’Challa adjacent things, though.

Last night we watched The Wonder, which I thought was good and very engaging for a deliberately paced film with basically zero action. Florence was great, but I sort of wish they’d done more (or less) with the framing device.

The only thing I have booked for this weekend is Glass Onion - have a bunch of other things I want to see, but no time to fit them in because of other plans. Hoping to get to The Inspection, White Noise, Devotion, and All the Beauty and the Bloodshed in the next couple of weeks.

I thought about doing a cannibal movie marathon to celebrate Thanksgiving, but I think I'll probably end up watching other shit. MST3K is doing their annual Turkey Day marathon, so maybe some of that!

I forgot all about that movie! It's not streaming right now though. I'll probably watch it once it goes to streaming!
