he should've retired before he stole the Oscar from DDL/Daniel Kaluuya/Timothée in 2018. they literally went with the most boring choice when there were three other truly incredible performances they should have rewarded

He won best actor for Darkest Hour, Darkest Hour won for best makeup even though Gary looked comically bad and Shape of Water won for best picture. Amazingly stupid wins.

I wish the oscars would grow a spine and award a younger guy for best actor. We literally always know there's no chance if the guy is like below 35. And then "best actress" is often backwards (for depressing reasons). It's messed up.
