Chris Brown really is in a weird place where there's definitely people still checking for his songs since he has one going viral, still has collaboration, still gets prizes meanwhile, whoever publicly talks positively aout him gets backslash and boos.

so I don't follow Chris Brown and TIL he was convicted - which even if he wasn't it would make no difference to me, he's still a POS. But if I'm understanding this article right, they were willing to ditch the music of an alleged (quoting the article here) and dead (so more likely to draw a bit of sympathy from the 'don't speak ill of the dead' crowd) child molester (who is also just immensely popular and much loved in spite of??) in order to make it more palatable for the actually convicted domestic abuser and lesser artist to perform??

*edit this is not my personal opinion aside from trying to put myself in Disney's shoes from a PR perspective. Given how much they sanitised Chris Evan's image when all the gossip circles know he's a cokehead and a fuckboi, I would've thought they wouldn't touch Chris Brown with a ten foot pole. Hollywood PR is weird.
