I used to live in a building that was allegedly haunted because it used to be a hospital, but the only scary thing I encountered was my roommate.

I'm scared of ghosts, but I don't know if I believe in them. I wouldn't be scared if it was someone I knew tho lol.

I used to think I had seen a ghost through out my childhood but it turned out to be shadow person?? I randomly came across that phenomenon online a few years ago and it was a very oh shit moment.

I did grow up in what’s supposed to be the most haunted town in an Ohio and tbh the vibes were very fucked up there. Tbh I think that’s mainly because of all the Native people displaced (used to find arrowheads constantly as a kid playing out side) as well as it being on the Underground Railroad…I’ve seen lots of dank cellars where people hid in just like, friends homes. It was all just kinda depressing but idk about ghosts.

Anyways!! Wish Constance had talked about that in her book bc I probably would have liked it more lol

So I stayed with my grandparents every weekend when I was small & every night this tall shadow man with a top hat would stand in my doorway. It was actually comforting and I would usually fall right asleep after seeing that he was watching over me?? I saw a picture of Abraham Lincoln once I started school and immediately was like “I know him, he’s my friend!”. This all sounds so insane, I know!!! I don’t really know what to make of it all now I just know it was my reality for a few years lol

I have seen that this is a common experience for neurodivergent people to have so 🤷‍♀️

I'm so glad you said this because yes this is totally a thing! Once I finally found a doctor who supported my diagnosis, I mentioned this to her and she said this is something she hears sometimes. She told me it can be a sign of being hyperempathetic... like basically we pick up on feelings and memories and make connections that way, and she said it made sense because I was the most hyperempathetic patient she'd ever had, lol.

It's so hard to explain to people irl!

I don't believe in ghosts and all and wouldn't want to since the idea of ghosts is really depressing to me. Who wants to be stuck as themselves forever?? My old roommate was super superstitious and would ask me about the ghosts in our apartment. She'd be like, "Did you hear them last night? They were making so much noise on the stairs." and I'm like girl no they weren't. She was super convinced they loved being on the stairs and would stop while going up and tell me how she could feel their presence. Sure, Jan.

I thought I saw a ghost with friends once when I was in high school but I think I was just caught up in the moment lol. I definitely don't believe in them now but I also won't hesitate to follow superstitions on the off chance I'm wrong lol
