Before kicking off the European leg of his Long Live Montero tour on Tuesday, Lil Nas X performed (the censored version of) STAR WALKIN’ at League of Legends’ Worlds 2022 Finals opening ceremony.

This also seems to mark the end of this partnership, as he retires as president in the video under the cut.

He was the best President of League of Legends they ever had, and his K'Sante Prestige collab is definitely making me think twice about what to spend my tokens on.

I enjoyed his performance and thought most of the dad rock LoL player complains about the song were pretty unfounded - it sounded like an anthem to me and the lyrics were the same as all the other LoL song lyrics (overcoming challenges, being the best etc). No to CCP stooge Jackson Wang, though.

Not that Lux wig. 😭
I don’t care for the song but I love his participation with Worlds.

I saw him on tour recently and I think he was also lip syncing then too. I didn’t mind if as the performance was really awesome although I would have obviously preferred it live.

This performance was pretty cool with the special effects. The wig was a no. I think it’s funny how they used this for gaming and also for MLB commercials. Audiences who aren’t his fans lol

Star Walkin keeps getting stuck in my head because it autoplays when I open the League client ;A;
