Quentin Tarantino says Marvel directors are "hired hands," which is why he'll never direct an MCU movie.

Rude to musicals! A much better genre than the superhero film.

Unfortunately he’s right though. The MCU really limits directors’ creative vision

He’d only do it if they were hired feet.

More like if they paid him in women's feet.

Imagine if he did a Guardians sequel and Nebula was just randomly barefoot in a fight scene.

Speaking of Marvel and feet...

Marvel Studios is eyeing to cast Bob Odenkirk in a key role in ‘WONDER MAN’.

Putting all the blame on superhero films for the state of the industry is a bit dishonest. There are numerous factors. Matt Damon talks about it here. And when other filmmakers do try more ambitious films, audiences won’t see it.

Once superhero films keel over the big studios will look at whatever else is popular and run that into the ground just as they did with YA dystopia series or children’s fantasy adventures.

yeah whenever people piss and moan about it, i just roll my eyes. there are tons of other movies that are released yet people will not seek them out despite literally having them available at their fingertips. and it's capitalism too; like, there are tons of movies out there but they aren't promoted and rn superheroes bring in cash. it's just like how we were surrounded by cowboy genre movies until the genre went down.

It's not that simple though. Alot of the publicity budgets are spent on these films also Disney buying up screens using Star Wars made it harder for other films to even get traction. They've slowly changed the way we consume media and it's the same period where mainstream films have pretty much become garbage.

I liked ‘Star Wars.’ What’s not to like?

Oh boy, where do I start.
