Jordin really didn’t deserve to get eliminated. She has gotten progressively better and they send her home the first week she received 9s? These celebrities don’t begin the show on an even playing field so it’s completely unfair to save a contestant that’s been stagnating in her performances over one who has noticeably improved, even if the former’s scores has been consistently better ( ... )

I agree that Jordin shouldn't have been eliminated. Although she and Heidi are at roughly the same dance level right now, Jordin has improved over the weeks while Heidi has been at the same place from the beginning. In addition, Heidi has been overscored for most of the season. She has been getting 9s since week 4 and she got her first 10 last week. You will never be able to convince me that she deserved a 10 for this week or last week. This was also her second time in the bottom 2 so she needs to go ( ... )

I had no idea she was on SYTYCD! You’re right that there is nothing wrong with her routines; the judges pointed out on Halloween Night that Vinny got all the steps right but his style was weak (which, again, not sure what they expect from a celeb with no dance background whatsoever). Her and Vinny also seem to have a solid partnership and I don’t get that vibe from all the pairings ( ... )

She finished second on her season of SYTYCD! Afterward, she did an interview where she said she wanted to learn ballroom dancing so I guess that's what she did at some point between then and now (it helps that she's been dating one of her former SYTYCD dance partners who is a ballroom dancer).

Some of her routines on SYTYCD:

audition

solo

contemporary

Broadway

salsa

jive

disco

closet dance

I can’t believe the D’Amelio mother is also in this?

Witney confirmed my suspicion that the pros treat jazz and contemporary as a license to do whatever they want. She flat out told Wayne "We have contemporary so we can do whatever we want." The worst thing is that Witney is cross trained so she KNOWS what contemporary is and she deliberately chose not to choreograph a contemporary routine. It really annoys me that the pros act like getting assigned these non-ballroom categories gives them carte blanche to choreograph a freestyle anything goes routine. Jazz and contemporary are actual dance styles. I don't think they belong on DWTS but since they are, the least they can do is try to make those routines sort of conform to what those dance styles are.

this drove me nuts too and it was especially disappointing to hear from witney, who has always been one of the pros who actually has treated contemporary as an actual dance genre rather than a glorified freestyle. i know she knows better, she’s been one of the few pros who HAS consistently done a better job there so this was a real letdown for me. wayne deserved better than that tbh

Does Jersey Shore have a big fan base?

As frustrating as it was to see Jordin go home, I really don’t want to be too harsh on Vinny. Or Koko. Those comments from Carrie Ann to her seemed… unnecessary. She’s a new pro. He’s never danced before. I do think he should go home next week but I really don’t want to see them get ripped apart by the judges again…
