saw it at Venice film festival and really enjoyed it!

I watched The Eternal (1998) over the weekend and this is giving me very similar vibes. Atmospheric but also kinda surreal and a tiny bit campy.

I think we need to keep bringing out gothic stories that rely on fixated characters and or a small cast like this. All of October I read creepy reads and I realized how much I love the gothic ghost or tales that relied on insanity or something truly creepy. I enjoy my slasher films but I do enjoy films like this and wish they'd return. Or, hell, bring back Hammer Horror films.
