NO ONE on GMA or local news wore costumes. I was so disappointed!!! I'll have to wait for John Oliver's annual roundup on LWT.

(The only person I saw in costume on GMA was doing a costume segment, that doesn't count)

Did anyone else see the Christo-fascist wedding on the Today Show? Yikes. They had this lily white couple who wrote their own vows and it was straight out of the Handmaids Tale. She promised to "obey and support" him and he promised to put up with her crazy ideas and to "hug her when she needed to be hugged and kiss her when she needed to be kissed."

I'm sitting here waiting for him to say "and fuck you when you need to be fucked," but mostly just stunned that anyone would say "when you need to be kissed," as if there was a specific time for that. Like only then? Never spontaneously? Just based on need? Maybe it was the way he said it, but they were both so Stepford wives, it took me out.

The Today Show theme was Vegas, and Willie Giest was dressed as Elvis in the white jumpsuit, so he performed the ceremony. It was very creepy.

today show wasnt as good as it has been. i didnt even realize that was willie! nor did i pay attention enough to realize there was a wedding going on, lol.

I went to a wedding where the bride publicly promised to "submit" to the groom, right in the damn vows. She used to be cool but then she spent time in Florida and came back a Christian Taliban.
