Honestly, now I wonder if Beyonce is being strategic with not releasing her videos if she just happened to know about Taylor's project, and she wants to release them after Taylor has her shine. It's just shitty how they both have their album releases and videos released (I'm assuming for the latter) in the same year, so they may be competing for Grammy's and possibly Emmy's? I think I remember reading that Ed Sheeran and Taylor basically made a deal to not release shit at the same time to help each other out, so I wonder if both Beyonce and Taylor made some kind of deal? I don't know if I'm being too generous by giving them that much credit, but I REALLY want Renaissance to get all the awards!

their albums fall under different Grammy voting cycles. eligibility for the 2023 Grammys closed on September 30, so Beyoncé met that deadline. Midnights will be up for nominations for the 2024 ceremony. neither of them would be up for Emmys for any visuals unless they were releasing them via full fledged specials that air on networks or on streaming services like Disney+

i think Beyoncé is holding out on the visuals until the Grammy voting period for maximum exposure and Taylor is just promoting as usual.
