After glancing at this list, I'm mainly interested in Argentina, 1985.
I'd also like to see Pray for Our Sinners, which isn't mentioned here. I missed it during the aforementioned film festival.

i will see ticket to paradise at some point honestly, but i might not get to it in theatres because i have zero time atm. we'll see! i did nab glass onion tickets, which i'm excited about. i'm planning to watch scream 5 tomorrow or friday and finish off my watch of that whole series too.
the only movie i've watched this past week was rosaline, which i thought was really cute. great cast, great costumes, felt like it would have fit right in with the 2000s shakespeare teen movie wave (and i mean that as a compliment)

Recent watches include:
Practical Magic: I had my husband pick from a handful of Halloween-adjacent films, and he definitely regretted picking this one, lol. I'd seen bits and pieces of it before, as my middle-school BFF was obsessed with it, but I'd never watched the whole thing. The good: Dianne Wiest & Stockard Channing playing witchy aunts, Nicole & Sandra looking super hot. The bad: Basically the rest of it, tbh, but the biggest offender for me was the music. So much music with lyrics played right over dialogue scenes... absolutely chaotic filmmaking!!! But I do love this song
which I think aforementioned BFF put on a mixtape for me at some point.
Decision to Leave: This was the only movie we got a chance to see in theaters this week. It was pretty good! Didn't quite live up to expectations based on the rapturous praise ( ... )

Saw Rosaline and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Dario and Rosaline are so cute! 🔥 Sean Teale hit me up later,

I watched The 355 which I wrote about in weekend box office post but a c/p here. [Spoiler (click to open)]I thought it was meh. I’m a sucker for spy espionage thrillers but there is just no match for the Mission Impossible franchise. Great cast and love the premise. They should try again since the ending set up a future installment, but with a better, tighter story and less side plots. It’s important to establish an emotional connection with the characters but trying all 5 leads in the same 2hrs was overload and felt rushed and superficial. Picking one at a time over 5 films would’ve been better. The spoiler twists were pretty obvious but not the main issue. The ladies kicked ass, though, and that was a refreshing spin.
We’re doing a date for Ticket to Paradise then dinner after
I’m not sure about The Banshees or Decision to Leave, I think I might wait to stream. Tar will open the following weekend so I’m looking fw to that ( ... )
