Thuso Mbedu could play 16 believably, and she's 31. I could hardly believe it when I googled her age.

Lol my jaw dropped when I googled Thuso after watching The Woman King. I thought the actor cast as her love interest looked wayyy too old and I felt so uncomfortable. But she's actually a few years older!! I was legit shocked

the funniest part about being in your early 30s is everyone assumes your in your 20s bc you don't actually look that different but people are so ready to class 30 as 'old'. i feel like 30s in general are so forgotten about as a decade in life, especially if you don't have kids

see briefly after turning 30 and a cashier at Macy's assume I was buying a Bluetooth Karaoke Mic for my nonexistent kids!!! it was a trip esp bc I've been babyfaced my whole life and I don't think I look haggard. Maybe I just look my age and he assumed I have kids? It's so weird to be in this place in life where like idk I feel too young for my friends who are more settled but ancient compared to people who want to party 24/7. I'm hoping I find my footing and this decade can offer me more than my 20s did, but so far it's just been disorienting lol.

i'm in the same situation - friends either have kids or are still partying and i am neither lol. i think what i've found getting out of this stage in life is that i'm finally at a comfortable and stress-free stand still that i've never had in life before. i have the financial stability and confidence that i never had in my 20s, and i just want to ride this for a good couple of years and enjoy not having any major issues (so far). like i'm not pushing to go further, just enjoying what i can
