he's right. i never understood why we're asking celebrities about stuff we know and everyone knows they don't know anything about.

the people most upset about "cancel culture" are the ones that say things like "Well am i not allowed have an opinion!?!!"

...yes, you can have an opinion. but you can't be mad when other people state an opinion in response that is contrary to your's whether its 1 person or 1 million people

some people have been fully cancelled and deserved it. most people just dont want to be called out or disagreed with.

and most of all...no one is required to like you or your opinions. some famous people fall out of favor for a lot of reasons and just like to blame it on cancel culture. maybe the industry has moved beyond whatever you brought to the table or people don't want to invest their own money in the product of a person they don't think deserves it. idk what to tell ya!

My motto is sure you can say whatever you want, logically speaking I cannot actually force you to not speak. But don’t act surprise when your words bite you in the ass, because other people have the same amount of freedom to say something back to /you/

Yep. You can have an opinion, all day long. You're not free of the consequences of that opinion though - something I find myself reminding my own damn parents of more and more...

That's what Norton said as well. And I agree with both of you. Sure a person can voice his opinion but don't act surprised when your ass is getting dragged on social media. Like, not even real life. Just social media.

Hard agree, like the gall of some celebs to complain about being cancelled during a Netflix special or a magazine spread that reaches thousands/millions of people. If people still have to hear your opinion after you were 'cancelled' then you weren't cancelled, you just had to answer to your shitty behavior.
